I love them! Each and everyone in the store is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and most of all ever so very patient. All they want to do is help and their smile feels so very genuine. Needless to say the quality of the products is top notch! Special mention - my first visit to the store, I met Jeff and immediately all my anxiety of first time buying hardwood was gone. His helpful nature, disarming smile and knowledge was a tremendous help! I left the store that day feeling a very long term relationship started with Exotic Woods.

So many different kinds of wood it'll make your head spin. All the different names and colors. Very affordable for all kinds of product they have, even the live edge. The staff is helpful and asked me if I needed assistance as I perused the store. Very nice. If you're a newbie to wood working and resin work, this is a great place to come and get some basic wood types or something fancy. It is affordable and there is so much to pick from. I suggest if you do go, you look up what you want first. The selection is massive.

My fist experience waking in the door was very good. Was greeted by atleast 2 people as soon as u entered the building. After browsing for a bit a older guy came up to ask me if I need help and I said I was just looking. He said well then, would you like a tour? He took time to show me the showroom and all the way in the back where the majic happens ( where all the milling is done ) Gave me a tour of the room that has all the musical instrument wood. I didn't indicate I was there to buy anything and still got a amazing tour. Today I came back and bought a beautiful large slab of walnut for a bar I am going to build. Thanks guys Russell

April 2023 5* If you are lover of real wood this is the place to go for. You can find different varieties of woods at the place. Hopefully one is planning 5 trees for cutting one. The staff is very helpful and will guide you correctly. I was thinking to build book showcase myself but gave up the idea after realizing the work required. The shop can grind and laminate woods for you but it can talk couple of weeks to do it. Also they can cut the wood or board to fit into your car but if you are looking for specific sizes, you need to wait for one week minimum. You can also buy oil, colours and other material for your work.

Came to this store based on a friends recommendation. I believe that there are more then a few new employees as from the 3 times i was there my papers where constantly misplaced, followed by a charge for a replacement stain that was given to me for free (this was resolved the same day by the manager and i was given a refund). This review is mostly for the color matching specialist that was advertised to me as a professional and their color specialist. Hayley from Little Foot Creative, from the very beginning i should have just done my own color matching it probably would of been better result. But because i have not worked with their stains i paid for the service. I have a custom staircase with 17 steps that needed to be matched to the new engineered flooring that where recently stalled in my house. Anyway with 2 months of waiting for the color match and a lot of fluff excuses from Hayley from how she is in school to she shouldn’t check her emails on the phone as she forgets to reply etc I finally get the color match. Once i was ready, i uprooted my family and sent them to another house for 4 days while i worked on sanding then applying the base color. Then when i applied the stain to the first step i realized that something is wrong with the color. Behold i find out that Hayley sent me the wrong color… followed by a bunch of excuses. She did offer me the proper base color at no cost (which i ended up being charged for at the store and same day refunded thankfully). When i brought up that she should also refund me her service, i received more fluff how she travel to and from the store and it covers her expenses. Meanwhile I also travel to and from and I had to move my family for another few days again, plus the cost of some of the needed materials for staining and I had to re-sand 17 steps of my stairs AGAIN because of her negligence. The color is off its a cooler and darker compared to my floor. Honestly I probably would of done a better job of color matching myself.

I am so grateful to the amazing staff here who helped me figure out how to colour match a piece of wood. They are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and really went out of their way to assist me. The wood selection they have available is also unparalleled. I would definitely recommend coming here for any wood-related projects. Having a tester available for all of the stain colours is genius! I only wish I'd found this place sooner!

Covid update. Email to organize pick up is easy and quick. Pick up is behind the building next to the loading door, so getting your order is painless. Of All The Lumber Joints In All The Towns In All The World, I Walk Into This One. And was I glad I did! Having visited many lumber yards, Exotic woods ranks among the best. Stock is laid out by species and size. Many different types of cuts, rough, faced, blanks, live edge, you name it, they stock it. Pricing is good, with special carts in the isles. I snagged some birds eye maple shirts for $5 BF! There is a large selection of legs for table tops, along with other items such as glues and stains. I wish I had a larger shop to process more wood so I can go back sooner.
